With January behind us, we are kicking things into gear for a busy 2015. It's going to be a big year for our business and your portfolio. We have a lot planned for this year to be even more exciting than last.
Here's what's happened at GROUNDFLOOR:
- We closed out 2014 in a big way. We funded 17 loans last year totaling nearly $1 million, all funded by lenders just like you - using the power of the internet to invest in real estate and earn like never before.
- In January, we hired a new Marketing Manager, Lauren FitzHugh. She comes to us with a background in digital communications from the agency side. She will be managing our lender-facing communications, events, and other marketing-related activities.
- We turn 2 this week on Thursday, February 5th. We're pretty sure there will be cupcakes (and hopefully champagne). We love a good celebration.
- Our Development team continues to expand, adding 4 new people to the team. Chris, our VP of Software, is delighted to have a more robust team to build an even better product for our borrowers and lenders.
- In January, we were named one of Atlanta's Top 5 Startups to Watch in 2015 by Venture Atlanta. We also recently learned that we are a Finalist in the 2015 SXSW Accelerator program; and will head to Austin, TX in March to (hopefully) take home the big prize.
