Groundfloorville Citizen Profile #1:

CHRIS BARTON

Age: 27

Gender: Male/Female

Occupation: IT

Education: College

Income: $65,000/yr

Investor Profile:

Feeling more established in his career, Chris now wants to get smarter with his money and save for the future. He took advice from a coworker a few years ago to start investing, but after months of testing the market on his own and checking his stocks far too often, he found it all too stressful and has put investing to the side.

Chris was venting to a  friend about the ups and downs of investing when his friend suggested that Chris create a Groundfloor account and give real estate investing a try. Chris’ friend explained that investing in real estate debt means extra security because each investment is backed by a real investment and puts the investor in a first lien position. It’s both smart and safe.

Chris had always assumed real estate investing was inaccessible to him. As he learned more about Groundfloor, he found he didn’t need to be an accredited investor to start investing, and once his account was set up, he could invest in real properties around the country for as little as $10 per property.

Chris used Groundfloor’s Investment Wizard to diversify his investment across multiple properties, and since he is just getting started, he has decided on a Conservative investment strategy. Realizing that the returns of his Groundfloor portfolio are all well over 10%, Chris decides to set up Auto-Transfer so he can start to consistently save for the future.

By initially investing $2,500 and allocating an additional $25 each month by cutting down on that extra cup of coffee, Chris’ 10-year outlook with Groundfloor’s consistent 10% returns yields the following performance:
